It is an honor and a privilege to join the Oak Springs Elementary Team. As a graduate of College and a former employee of Parque Zaragoza Recreation Center, I feel like I am returning home to a community that shaped me into a life-long learner and leader. We affectionately call the Together with the families, staff, and neighborhood partners, I look forward to us thriving as a team and school community. I am energized and committed to building relationships, supporting the whole child, and igniting a passion for learning that will last a lifetime. Ms. Antwainette Hargis-Booe, Assistant Principal

I am so excited to be joining Oaks Springs Elementary School as your Assistant Principal. I can’t wait to meet everyone and get to know each student and their family!
I am entering my 21st year in education. I have served 13 years as a general education teacher and special education teacher, 3 years as an instructional coach, and 4 years as an elementary and middle school Assistant Principal. I am an Austinite and received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Huston-Tillotson College. I received my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
It is my goal to provide a nurturing and safe educational environment that challenges our students to reach their fullest potential. I am proud to be a part of the faculty, staff, and school community here at Oak Springs Elementary where we do the HEARTwork and are dolphin strong!
